OOF2: The Manual
Name
ThresholdMethod — Various ways of thresholding an image.
Subclasses
Subclasses are listed as they appear in the GUI and (in parentheses) as they appear in scripts.
-
Manual (
ManualThreshold) — Make all pixels brighter than the given value white, and the rest black. -
Mean (
MeanThreshold) — All pixels brighter than the mean brightness of the image will be white, and the rest black. -
Minimum (
MinimumThreshold) — Choose a threshold at the minimum in the smoothed histogram of gray values. -
MinimumEntropy (
MinimumEntropyThreshold) — Compute the threshold value by Li’s iterative Minimum Cross Entropy method. -
Local (
LocalThreshold) — Use a different threshold at each point, computed from the local neighborhood. -
Isodata (
IsoDataThreshold) — Automatically select a threshold via the Ridler-Calvert method. -
Otsu (
OtsuThreshold) — Choose a threshold T such that the average of the means of the intensities below and above T equals T. -
Triangle (
TriangleThreshold) — Use the triangle method to compute the threshold value. -
Yen (
YenThreshold) — Use Yen's method to compute the threshold value.
Description
These classes are used as the method parameter in
OOF.Image.Modify.Threshold. They are
mostly just wrappers around scikit-image methods in skimage.filters. The classes differ
in the way in which the threshold value is selected.
