hexagonal
A material with hexagonal symmetry has 5 independent elastic constants
and 2 independent coefficients of thermal expansion. See figure
4.2.
Parameters
 orientation
 If unrotated (orientation= 0), a hexagonal element is
isotropic in the plane (the plane of the screen), with the
crystalline axis in the direction (out of the screen).

 thermoelastic coefficients
 The components of the stiffness matrix are c11, c12, c13, c33, and c44. The two independent coefficients of thermal expansion are alpha11 and alpha33.
