Global (GlobalErrorScaling) — Errors are scaled so that the integral over time is constant.

Description

GlobalErrorScaling scales the error estimate for each Field component $\phi$ at each Node by

\Delta t\left|\frac{d\phi}{dt}\right|

(6.144)

and then returns the maximum value. This is supposed to control the cumulative error over the entire time evolution.
