Discussion

Anisotropic dielectric permittivity Property specifies that the Total_Polarization Flux, \(D\), depends linearly on the gradient of the Voltage Field, \(\phi\):

      \[ D_i = \epsilon_{ij} \frac{\partial\phi}{\partial x_j} \]
    (6.67)

where the permittivity \(\epsilon\) is given by the parameter epsilon.

The crystal symmetry of the Material is reflected in the symmetry of the modulus, \(\epsilon\). Materials containing an anisotropic Property must also contain an orientation Property.
