OOF.Image.Modify.AddNoise — Add random noise to an image.

Synopsis

OOF.Image.Modify.AddNoise(image, sigma, seed)

Details

  • Parent Menu: OOF.Image.Modify
  • Callback: function doImageMod in module ooflib.image.imagemodifier

  • Parameters:

    image
    Type: The path to an existing Image object.
    sigma
    Width of the noise distribution. Type: A positive real number.
    seed
    Seed for the random number generator. Type: An integer, or the value automatic.

Description

AddNoise is used to generate images for the test suite. Gaussian noise with deviation sigma is added to each pixel. If seed is automatic the random number generator is not reinitialized before use.
