The Problem of Solder Bridging

During the fabrication of solder interconnects one must be concerned about the formation of accidentental bridges between contacts, which can render an electrical device useless. Using Surface Evolver Program (At Geometry Center) I, along with Craig Carter and Dan Josell have been examining the problem of solder bridging. Below are the results in a variety of formats. • Bridging occurs, better refinement Click here to mouse around.
