Synopsis

When the selected pixels are drawn on the image using the selected pixel color, the selection can obscure the image, making it hard to see what features have been selected. The opacity of the selection can be adjusted to compensate for this. A value of 1 makes the pixels completely opaque, and draws them in the assigned color for selected pixels. A value of 0, however, doesn't make the pixels completely transparent, because that would be useless. You can choose not to display the selected pixels with the Selected Pixels button on the Display dashboard.
