Instructions for generating a simple Wulff
shape in WULFFMAN:

Open a UNIX shell on any Lehigh workstation.

Type: geomview to start the viewer. This viewer consists
of a CAMERA WINDOW, VIEWING TOOLS, and a MENU WINDOW.

In the GEOMVIEW MAIN WINDOW: scroll down in the "External Modules"
window until you see Wulffman.

Click on Wulffman once. This will open two new windows, a
Wulffman window and a Wulffboy window. Arrange them on screen so
that both are visible.

In the Wulffboy window click on the Symetry Tool and choose CUBIC,
432, and then CLOSE the window.

Click on FACET TOOL to open the facet generating window. Click on
HKL. Now click on GO. Use the VIEWING TOOLS window of Geomview
and click on LOOK. A square should now be visible in the CAMERA WINDOW.
Grab the square and rotate it with the mouse pointer. At this point
you should see that mouse pointer. At this point you should see that
it is a cube, or rather, a Wulff shape with (100) planes present.

Add (110) planes by clicking on NEW. Enter the HKL values of H=1
K=1 L=0. Click on the color box to give these facets a new color.
Click on GO in the FACET TOOL window.

Add as many planes as you want. Try adding (111) planes.
Instructions for Printing the image in the CAMERA window:

Set the focus on the CAMERA window by clicking on the border.

Press the ">" key.

Click on the button labeled "Commands" and select postscript snapshot.

Choose a filename in the "Selection" edit box with the extension .ps for
postscript.

REMEMBER WHERE YOU PUT THE FILE!!!

Type gs then the filename: For example, "gs output.ps"

A picture of the output should appear. Use the menus to print a copy
of the file.
