Dear Colleagues: Version 2.0.2 of oof2 is now available on the OOF website at http://www.ctcms.nist.gov/oof/oof2. The primary new feature is the addition of a "subproblem" object, useful for breaking up large and/or numerically stiff problems into smaller, better-posed problems. Some changes have been made to the extensions API, as well, and users who have built extensions may need to make modifications. The new API is documented in Appendix B of the manual, available on the website. In addition, a number of bugs have been identified and fixed. * Plane flux equations were not making correct contributions to the right hand side of the linear system, resulting in incorrect results for some properties in the plane-stress case. Also, the energy for stress-free strains was not being computed correctly. * Material redefinition in data files could cause a program crash if the data file was loaded after a mesh using the old material definition had already been created. * A number of widget behavior bugs in the GUI have been fixed. See the changelog on the download page of the website for full details. Please let us know if you have problems installing or running the new version. Sincerely, The OOF Development Team.
