OOF Workshop Announcement The OOF development team will be holding a workshop at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD, on August 24 and 25, 2006. The purpose of the workshop will be to introduce OOF2, and for OOF users and potential users to give feedback to the developers. The first day of the workshop will be comprised of talks on the following topics: * How to use OOF2 * How to build OOF2 extensions containing customized material models * Past, present, and future applications of OOF1 and OOF2. Please let us know if you'd like to give a presentation in this session. The second day of the workshop will be reserved for hands-on tutorials. Participants are encouraged to bring their own images of microstructures that they would like to analyze. Once we have an idea of how many attendees to expect, we will reserve a block of rooms at a local hotel. If you are interested in attending, please respond directly to me (stephen.langer@nist.gov) as soon as possible. (Please do not respond to the mailing list, oof@nist.gov.) If you'd like to attend, but will not need a hotel room, please let me know as well. Additionally, a limited amount of funding has been made available to help defray travel expenses for those who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please let me know in your email is travel support is required. I hope to see you all in August! Sincerely, Steve Langer
