OOF Newsletter #8 November 2001

Dear Colleagues --

A new Macintosh OS X version of OOF is now available on the OOF web
site, at 

  http://www.ctcms.nist.gov/oof/download/index.html#Mac

A new source code distribution is also available, incorporating the
modfications for Mac compatibility.

To run OOF with OS X, you will need install an X server.  Start OOF
from the command line in an xterm.  To compile OOF, you will need to
install the Apple development tools.  More details are on the web site.

Compiling and distributing Macintosh OS X programs is a new adventure
for us, so please let us know if you encounter any difficulties with
the software.
