Getting OOF and System Requirements

The graphical interface to OOF runs under X-windows. OOF itself is written in C++ and uses the

XForms, SparseLib++, and editline libraries. At NIST we compile it on the following systems:

Computer Operating System C++ Compiler
SGI IRIX 6.5 MIPSpro 7.3.1.1m
Sun Solaris 2 GNU g++ 2.95.2
Alpha Linux 2.2.16 GNU g++ 2.95.2
Pentium PC Linux 2.2, 2.3 GNU g++ 2.95.2
It should compile on any Unix system with X windows and a modern C++ compiler.

OOF can be obtained from the OOF website at

http://www.ctcms.nist.gov/oof/
At that site you can also sign up for the OOF mailing list and get an updated version of this manual.
