/select/modify/expand

/select/modify/expand -- expand the current selection

Synopsis

Expands the current selection by selecting each pixel within a specified distance of the previously selected pixels. As a side effect, this tends to smooth the borders of the selection by removing ``high-frequency'' terms. Note that this function is nearly--but not exactly--the inverse of /select/modify/shrink.

This function can be used with the /select/unselect_group functions to select the exterior borders of regions.

Arguments

range

Any unselected pixel within this distance of a selected pixel becomes selected. The distance between two pixels is measured center to center. Default: 1.5
