Dear OOF Users -- We, the OOF developers, often need to make presentations to NIST management about what we're working on. Those presentations usually include some discussion of our user base. As you know, we don't collect statistics on OOF users. We count downloads (about 1000 in the last year), search on-line for citations in papers, and get some feedback via e-mail, but other than that, we don't know much about how people are using the program. It would be very helpful if you could send me (at stephen.langer@nist.gov) a very short description of what you're doing with OOF. If would be especially helpful to include an image of an OOF calculation, something that we could include in a presentation. As always, please don't send any proprietary information. We will be careful to properly attribute any images or information we use. I'd like to repeat my request from a few days ago for two and three dimensional micrographs that we can use to test new features of OOF. It would help the development effort if we had a collection of micrographs typical of the ones that you use with OOF. Thank you, Steve Langer
